Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Best Sequels
(Also, I'm back!! I've been away for a couple of days because I was so busy, I haven't even been NEAR the computer. Well, once, but that was for school, so yeah. But I'm here again!)

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

1. Days of Blood and Starlight (Daughter of Smoke and Bone #2) by Laini Taylor

Is it obvious that I LOVE this series? It's been in almost every TTT of mine so far, haha. But it's true: this is one of the best sequels ever. I loved it, it was so raw and sad and heartbreaking and I WANT MORE.

2. Hallowed (Unearthly #2) by Cynthia Hand

Another beloved series of mine. I loved this series, but Hallowed was definitely the best installment for me. Again with the heartbreaking! I'm sensing a theme here.

3. Harry Potter and the... (Harry Potter #2-7) by J. K. Rowling

Am I cheating with this? I don't care. Best series of all time.

4. Catching Fire (hungergames #2) by Suzanne Collins

Gritty, sensational, breathtaking. Just a couple of words I'd use to describe this. I might not have breathed while reading this book.

5. Shadow Kiss (Vampire Academy #3) by Richelle Mead

THAT ENDING. It broke my heart (again!) and just whoa. Yes, definitely a favorite!

6. Eona (Eon #2) by Alison Goodman

One of my absolute favorites. Everything was right. The writing, the characters, the romance, the characters, the tension, the characters... If you haven't read this yet, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?

7. Pandemonium (Delirium #2) by Lauren Oliver

I realise that I'm probably the only person in the world, but I thought this was the best book in the series. Don't shoot me, but I'm absolutely SMITTEN with Julian. Good thing most of you aren't, 'cause now he's mine. *evil laugh*

 8. Fever (The Chemical Garden #2) by Lauren DeStefano

Once again, best book in the series. That last third was perfection. Absolute and utter perfection.

9. The Iron Queen (The Iron King, #3) by Julie Kagawa

Whoa.

And that's it! I'm stuck at nine, but those nine are so good, they could easily count for ten (don't try to follow the logic here, it'll make your brain hurt, probably). What are your favorites?

  2. OH, EONA! Not a popular pick, but I agree...I loved that second book so much more than the first. And I was chastised for picking Hallowed, but I agree...it's my favorite installment of that series...so. Many. Feels. Great list!

    1. I thought it was brilliant, but I haven't seen it on any list!

Hallowed is my favorite too. The FEELS. I almost couldn't handle them. Thanks!

  3. You're not the only one when it comes to Pandemonium - most people I talk to think that one was the best of the series (better than the 1st anyway!). I can't believe I haven't read Days of Blood and Starlight yet. Need to get my move on. Great TTT!
